I've been promising myself and a few other people that I would set up a blog for my mother's English Family genealogy.  This at last is it.  A work in the making...not much to date.  The plan is a page for each family surname and posts about the individuals, places, houses and events that surround those names.

The majority of my mother's ancestors come from Ireland...from Derrycoosh and Carrownaclea (Mayo), from Gullane (Kerry), from Athleague and Tremaine (Roscommon) and then there is the Bavarian Baier(l) family ...

My mother wrote some wonderful stories of her family so some of the posts will be those stories.

I'd like to promise myself there will be a post a week...but will only promise to do my best.  So to start off here are a few pictures of those ancestors.......
